Candied Almonds with Thermomix

200 g unpeeled almonds
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
120 g water
190 g sugar
15 g vanilla sugar
1 pinch of salt
Instructions:

Cover the baking tray with parchment paper.
In the Thermomix bowl, add water, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Set for 3 minutes at 100°C on speed 1.
Add the almonds to the bowl and reduce the temperature to Varoma temperature. Program for 15 to 18 minutes on reverse speed, speed 1.
Evenly distribute the almonds on the baking tray and separate them with two forks or spoons. The sugar coating will still be soft. Let the almonds cool completely before enjoying them! Be careful of the risk of burns!
Optionally, you can bake the almonds in the oven for an even crispier texture. After step 4, place the baking tray with the almonds in a preheated oven at 150°C. Bake for 6 to 10 minutes. The sugar mixture will start bubbling quickly, so watch to prevent burning. Once baked, let them cool before enjoying.
