Today, we bring you a recipe that has become a true viral sensation. The original recipe (which wasn’t made for the Thermomix and is in English) has over 100 million views. It’s a chocolate mousse cake.
Prepare the gelatin:
Place the gelatin in water, stir well, and set aside.
Chop the chocolate:
Break the dessert chocolate into pieces and place it in the Thermomix.
Program: 10 seconds / speed 8.
Transfer the chopped chocolate to a bowl and set aside.
Dissolve the cocoa:
Add the cocoa powder to a separate bowl, pour in a few tablespoons of hot water, and stir until the cocoa is fully dissolved. Set aside.
Heat the liquid ingredients:
Place the milk, cream, sugar, and condensed milk into the Thermomix.
Program: 3 minutes / 90°C / speed 3 (do not let it boil).
Add the cocoa:
Pour the dissolved cocoa from the bowl into the Thermomix.
Program: 5 seconds / speed 4.
Add the chocolate:
Add the chopped chocolate from the bowl into the Thermomix.
Program: 4 minutes / 90°C / speed 3.
Incorporate the gelatin:
Add the hydrated gelatin and mix.
Program: 20 seconds / speed 2.
Strain the mixture:
Pass the chocolate mixture through a sieve into a bowl to remove any undissolved particles.
Cool the mixture:
Prepare a large bowl with ice water. Place the bowl with the chocolate mixture into the ice water and stir continuously for about 5 minutes until it cools down.
Pour into the mold:
Pour the cooled chocolate mixture into a cake mold.
Refrigerate:
Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours.
Decorate:
Once set, remove the cake from the mold and use a sieve to dust it evenly with cocoa powder.
Your chocolate mousse cake is now ready!
